Meet the criteria for all level of Instructors of Tai Chi Centre
This is certifying system of Tai Chi Centre for prospective instructors without take our training program and it is open to applicants worldwide. It is suitable for those applicants who have been well trained through their own journey of Tai Chi practice in any schools and meet the crriteria for instructor of Tai Chi Centre. There is theory test for new applicants and it is online based. It covers aspects of Chen Style Tai Chi that can be found in the Tai Chi for Health book.
The certificate is valid for 2 years and it must be renewed each year. Electronic renewal fee is £10. If hard copy and mailing is required, fee is extra.
*Advance to higher level: After one year, one can apply to take exams to advance. Examination fee: £135, Certification: One can skip levels and each level of skip is £50.
Foundation Level
Main Contents:
• Warm Up
• Side Step, Single and Double hands Silk Reeling Energy exercises
• Breathing exercises and Qigong exercises specified on the certificate
• Tai Chi Stance and Tai Chi 8 Form
*Exam and Certification Fee: £208.
Level 1
Main Contents:
• All contents of previous level
• Tai Chi 11 Form or 18 form and First 15 movement of any long form such as Laojia 74 Form or Xinjia 83 Form.
*Exam and Certification Fee: £258.
Level 2
Main Contents:
• All contents of previous level
• Push Hands: Still Stance and Application
*Exam and Certification Fee: £300.
Level 3
Main Contents:
• All contents of previous level
• Push Hands: Move step and Application
• First 30 movements of Xinjia 83 Form or Laojia 74 form
• Sword (or Sabre)
*Exam and Certification Fee: £350.
Level 4
Main Contents:
• All contents of previous level
• Push Hands: Move step and Application
• Full Xinjia 83 Form or Laojia 74 form
• Sword or Sabre and Long Pole
*Exam and Certification Fee: £400.
*Advance to higher level: After two years.
Level 5
Main Contents: Instructors within this level can teach all Level Forth exercises with better level of skills.

• Push Hands: Move step and Application
• Full Xinjia 83 Form or Laojia 74 form
• Sword or Sabre and Long Pole
*Exam and Certification Fee: £450.
*Advance to higher level: After two years.
Level 6
Main Contents: Instructors within this level can teach all Level fifth exercises with excellent form movements at the level of national championships holder in China major competitions and good understanding about the Tai Chi principles.

*Advance to higher level: After two years.
Level 7
Main Contents: Instructors within this level can teach all Level Sixth exercises with better form movements and understanding about the Tai Chi principles and have been teaching over 20 years.

• Sword or Sabre and Long Pole
*Exam and Certification Fee: £550.
*Advance to higher level: After three years.
Terms and conditions for the payment of certification fees
All candidates for instructor qualifications are required to pay the relevant fee in advance. Candidates will be charged for the instructor level awarded by the evaluation procedure as follows:
- A candidate awarded a lower level than that applied for will receive a refund of the fee difference
- In the event of a higher level than that applied for being awarded, the candidate will be required to pay the fee difference
- For candidates who are not awarded an instructor grade, or who withdraw their application prior to evaluation, the certification fee paid, less an application fee of £100, will be refunded
