Pictures of the incident on 24th August 2024 at 17 Penfield Close, Manchester, M1 7JL

There videos are recored from our CCTV at the front of the house. There are also the neighbour netword CCTV mountained on the Tower building at the front of our house which can be obtained through the local community and Police.The time on the video is one hour behind the current time as it hasn’t update with the summer time yet.

The guest Sebastien reported in the morning on 24th August 2024 as ‘Hi, last night/this morning on member oh my group was attached on door step, he’s had his phone stolen. The attacker has smashed the side window next to the door’

Followed the report I have viewed all the record of the videos and there are some important footages below for the purpose of evident. I can also understand the incident is as following from my point of the view based on the videos.

The first guest was back home at 2:03am (shows 1:03am on video footage and it is same for all videos) and he was in and out in the front garden a few times to wait for other guest who holds the key to the house until 2:16am. Then he was quiet and waiting at the entrance. He came out to the garden later and decided to smash the glass on the window and entered the house through the window at 2:27am. The second guest came back home at 3:45am and the third guest came back home at 5:42am in the morning.

There was nothing happened as the guest reported about the other people attached by the door step. The CCTV are recorded continually and there is peaceful all the time and nobody else entered my front garden or walk path. The CCTV by the local community can also be available to access by the police if it is neccesary.

Based on the lie story the guest reported and the damage of the property on purpose they totally broke the rule of stay as guest list on airbnb therefore I asked them to leave the house immediately otherwise I will report to the police and leave it to my legal advisor to deal with the guests. They left the house after 2pm on 24th August 2024 as I required. I asked the guest to provide the ture story statement about the attack by the door step and who smashed the window as it will be very bad reputation for my airbnb host business. I don’t want the lier to put the made up story on the review section and it will damage my buiness so much. I would like to ask airbnb to step in and protect the host under this terrible insident.

This is the updated message from the guest at 2:16pm on 25th August 2024: ‘We have no issue paying the cost. My friend was scared after being mugged at knife point and having their phone stolen, they had no means to contact the rest of us. Being scared they weren’t thinking straight and caused the damage in an attempt to feel safe, they were scared the attacker would follow them and the fact they were in drag made them even more scared to ask anyone around for help.’

The guest changed the story and said after being mugged at knife point and have the phone stolen, but he didn’t state where is it and who smashed the window at all.
My reply as follow:
I am sorry to hear that your friend being mugged elsewhere. If you told me the truth at the beginning I would understand it and I would let you stay in the house and fix the broken window. However as you told me that everything was happened at my house door step and the attacker smashed the window which is totally unacceptable as the video recorded by police and my CCTV in the area shows different story. The window was smashed by your friend. As your friend was scared after the attack I totally understand his rush actions to get into the house. I accept your explanation and won’t report to the police and my legal advisor won’t step in at this point.

Regards to this unfortunate situation happens could you please don’t provide any review on Airbnb about the incident. It has damaged my property so far and I don’t want to damage my host business again otherwise I will ask my legal advisor to step in.
